AMY TRUJILLO is the Director and Head Instructor of Legacy. Amy has been involved in the sport of baton twirling for over 30 years. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad competing and teaching. Amy has won several awards as both an athlete and instructor including WTA Miss College Majorette of America, Little Miss Majorette of West Virginia, Maryland State, Florida State, Northeast and Southeast Regional titles in WTA, TU, CAMA, NBTA and USTA. She was a member of the Hurricanes (WV) and Belle-Aires (MD).  She represented the United States at the World Championships in Genoa, Italy in 1996. Professionally, Amy earned the award of Coach of the Year presented by the Florida Sport Development Commission, she is a Certified Level III Judge, Certified Level II Coach, and the past President for the Florida Chapter of the United States Twirling Association which she held for 16 years, current Member-At-Large for the Southeast Region, Coaches/Judges Chairman for USTA Florida and Board Member of the Florida State Fair Games.  She is currently pursuing her NBTA Judges license and Miss America (state of Florida) certification . In addition to baton twirling, Amy has earned high honors in Cheerleading, National Color Guard Champion and Regional Commercial and Modeling Contracts with Dress Barn, H&R Bloch and Mary Kay.  Amy brings a lot of experience and expertise to the Jacksonville area.  Outside of her baton life, Amy is a wife of 20 years, mother of 2 girls, 1 step-son and the Accounting/HR/Membership Manager at a local corporation.  She will be teaching both Recreational and Competition classes.

 

KATHLEEN WORLEY, Recreation Assistant has been involved in the sport of baton twirling for over 20 years as a soloist, team twirler and now coach. She originally twirled in Ohio with the Buckeyes and loves teaching all aspects of twirling including group and soloist work. Kathleen is a former Ohio and Regional Champion in Solo, X-Strut, Modeling and Teams.  Kathleen is currently working towards earning both her NBTA and USTA judges license.  She's great with the younger crowd. Outside of her baton life, Kathleen is a wife of 15 years, mother of 2 and oversees surgery centers in the North Florida market.  She will be teaching our Grace Lutheran Program.

 

NICHOLE SCHROEDER, Recreation Assistant has been involved in the sport of baton twirling for 20 years. During college at FSU, Nichole twirled on the line for the Marching Chiefs. She was also the Feature Twirler at Paxon SAS, Jacksonville for 4 years. Nichole has earned many titles in both solos and teams including 1st runner up Miss Majorette of Florida, Florida State 1, 2, 3 baton Grand Champion, silver medalist in age at 2005 Nationals for 2 baton and other State, Regional and National awards. She is a member of the 2011 International Cup USA Team and will compete in Adult Solo and Multiple Baton.  She is a current USTA Judges Level 2 and a USTA Level II Certified Coach. Nichole is a nurse and specializes in working with the youth and the proud mother of 2 beautiful Shih-Tzu's.  Nichole will be teaching Recreation and assisting with Team.

 

AMBER DUKE, Recreation Assistant has been involved in the sport of baton twirling for over 30 years.  She competed as an individual and earned the titles of Mini Premiere Princess and National Miniature Queen at the National Majorette Association (NMA) National Competition,  Amber has won many titles as both a team and individual member of Shelvy's Superstars until moving to Florida in 1996 including Miss Majorette of Virginia, Miss Majorette of the East and Virginia State Titles.  Amber has trained in baton twirling, ballet, tap and jazz.  She is a registered judge for NBTA and has judged both locally and at Nationals.  Amber has been involved in the Miss America Pageant system as a contestant, coach and now as a certified judge in the state of Florida.  She is the current co-director fo the Miss Ed White Scholarship Pageant.  Outside of baton life, Amber is a wife and a proud momma to a beautiful lab.  She will teaching Recreation and assisting with Team.
