Welcome to Florida’s premiere twirling club -- Legacy.

Legacy Twirling Academy was established in 1995 under the direction and instruction of Amy Trujillo. We are a local club teaching the artistic sport of baton twirling to youngsters in the Northeast Florida area.  Our wonderful staff is committed to bringing their enthusiasm and passion for the sport and will offer a positive exciting experience that will create memories and friends to last a lifetime.
 
Enroll now for a family fun program designed to introduce new skills, dance, fitness, team building and overall excitment.   We have classes for the very beginner to the national level athlete. Legacy offers two forms of class instruction – Recreation and Competition.
 
Our Recreation Classes start at age 2 and meet one day a week. This class will learn the fundamentals and more.  All classes will spend class time on stretching, beginner ballet, jazz and acrobatics with the main emphasis on baton twirling. All classes will participate in the Holiday Parade, First Coast Event in March and the Annual Awards and Performance Ceremony in May.  Additional performance opportunities are available, but are optional.
 
Our Competition Baton Program meets one to three times a week (depending upon your age and ability) developing both baton and body skills as well as preparing musically choreographed team routines. This program travels throughout the United States competing at various events including the Florida State, Southeast Regionals and the U.S. National Championships. Competition athletes also compete in individual events. Competition Team requires additional training time, financial and scheduling commitments.  We do offer fundraisers and seek sponsors to assist with training, costuming, entry and travel fees.  Skill evaluations occur in September for team/class placements.
