2008 INTERMEDIATE SENIOR SMALL TWIRL TEAM WINNERS
2008 FLORIDA STATE AND SOUTHEAST REGIONAL CHAMPIONS

Welcome to Florida’s premiere twirling club -- Legacy.

Legacy Twirling Academy was established in 1995 under the direction and instruction of Amy Trujillo. We are a local club for youngsters in the Northeast Florida area. All staff members are on a voluntary basis.
Legacy offers two forms of class instruction – Competitive and Recreational.
Our Competition Baton Program meets up to three times a week developing both baton and body skills as well as preparing musically choreographed team routines. Competition Athletes have passed through Level III as well as C and B Compulsories/Movement Technique. This program travels throughout the United States
competing at various events including the Florida State, Southeast Regionals and the U.S. National Championships. Competition athletes also compete in individual events. Auditions for the Competition Team will be held in September.
Within our Competition Team, we also have a Pre-Team who meets once a week for a longer period of time. Pre-Team athletes start the training process to eventually audition for the Competition/Travel Team. Pre-Team members participate in all Recreation events as well as the First Coast Championships and the Florida State Championships.
The Pre-Team and Competition Team start at age 5.
Our Recreation Baton Program meets once a week for a minimum of 45 minutes. Recreation athletes learn the fundamentals as well as start the process of Levels and Compulsory/Movement Technique. All recreation classes learn at least two routines throughout the year to be performed at local events including parades and recital. All recreation classes are introduced to baton twirling, various forms of dance including Ballet & Jazz, pom poms, cheer and more.
Recreation classes start at age 4 and continue thru Middle School.
